***Or Make An icon on your Desktop that will automatically put u in my channel. Instructions below****

(Thanx Matt & Scott for wonderful Insructions)

Here's how to create a Teamspeak Icon that will allow you to connect to the New England Scanner Feeds Teamspeak Server (or any server for that matter) and immediately be logged into the channel you want or need to be in. This icon can then be placed in the startup folder and is ideal for feed providers that may have an inadvertant reboot of their computer. This tutorial is built with the premise that you are using Windows XP. Other versions of Windows will be similar but may have different wording.

Creating The Icon

1. RIGHT click on your desktop (main screen).
2. A menu will appear. Hover over "New" and another menu will appear.
3. Select "Shortcut".
4. A dialog box will appear. In the "Type the location of the item" box, type the following, substituting your Nick Name, Login Name, password, channel, and if necessary subchannel in the appropriate fields:

**This is for registered Users***Copt this:

teamspeak://nescannerfeeds.no-ip.org:8005/?nickname=Your Nickname?loginname=Your Login Name?password=your password?channel=your channel

________________________________________________________________

I have also added for nonregistered users and have already added my channel

**This is for NonRegistered***Copy this:

teamspeak://nescannerfeeds.no-ip.org:8005/?nickname=Your Nickname?loginname=?password=?channel=Central Maine Public Safety

*All you need to do is change YourNickname to What ever you want*

Remember Dont delete ? , they r part of code

Please note that this must be EXACT, and yes, the question marks are part of it...a crucial part!

5. Click the Next button.
6. Type a name for the shortcut in the box, i.e. "Teamspeak" or "NE Scanner Feeds", whatever you want to call it.
7. Click the Finish button.
8. The icon should appear on your desktop with the Teamspeak logo.
9. Before you try to use it, right click on the Icon and select "Properties" from the drop down menu.
10. Check the link you typed. Often when there are spaces in the entered info (nickname, channel name, etc.) the information after that is eliminated during the initial process. If it has been cut off, simply type the remainder of the info in. When done, click the Apply button, and then click the OK button. This time it will take. Confounded Windows!
11. Double click to test. If you did it right you should be able to log in and land right in your channel. Neat, eh? If it didn't work go back and carefully look at the string of data you typed. Something is wrong somewhere, guaranteed. It WILL work.
