COM:    1st appearance of Slave World.  The despot Kulla was besieged by enemies on his world and he used his technology to kidnap scientists from Earth to help him create his electro-death ray weapon.  One of those kidnapped was Henry Pym, who became Ant-Man and easily escaped his cell.  While trying to rescue his fellow scientists, he was spotted and Kulla himself chased after him.  Unfortunately right in front of his own death ray and was killed.  The fortress fell to what turned out to be a relatively peaceful race, and Ant-Man and the rest of the scientists were returned to Earth at story end. 2nd and 3rd features are non-MU strange suspense stories.  Cover by Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers.

The Watcher witnesses the resultant fight, and it is established that his HQ is a storehouse of scientific marvels.  At the end of the story, the Apes rebel on RG, the Watcher claims  to be moving his base of operations further away from Earth (which he does not do), and the FF are on their way back home.

COM:    Zaxton, jealous of Blake, caused an android which he had created for a convention display to malfunction and had to be removed by Thor  before it exploded.  He then kidnapped Jane and forced Blake to help him complete his duplicating machine.  When they were finished, Blake became Thor to escape, but Zaxton duplicated him, and armed the bogus Thor with two copies of Mjolnir.  Thor defeated the copy easily, and, when he went after the professor, Zaxton duplicated himself, but accidentally fell off a bridge, killing himself and destroying the machine.  The duplicate turned out to be good instead of evil like the original, and Thor allowed him to continue on in Zaxton's life.  2nd and 3rd feature are non-MU fantasy stories.  Cover by Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers.

COM:    Thor steps out of his office to rescue a bus (from the East Side Bus Company) and has several disgruntled patients walk out, which ticks off Jane to no end.  The New York Museum receives the sarcophagus of Merlin, and when they open it, he revives, and reveals that all of what was seen as magic a 1000 years ago was actually the result of his mutant powers.  As an opening bid to take control of the government, Merlin teleports to Cape D'Or and disrupts the missile launch which is rescued by Thor.  Thor suspects his half brother, but Loki is still in custody in Asgard (from #94), but gives him the low down on the ancient mage.  Merlin, who goes to Washington, DC to lean on the president himself, finally attracts the attention of the thunder god, and he disrupts several DC landmarks before Thor, transforming back to Blake, convinces him that he's the most powerful magician.  At story end, he forces the mage to return to his sarcophagus and fall back into his sleep spell.  In the 2nd feature:  A 1 page text story about Bill Swift which is concluded in the next issue.  In the 3rd feature:  A non-MU strange/suspense story of how the Gorgons of myth were actually invaders from space.  when they send a recent scout ship to see if they can still turn men to stone, the test fails only because the chosen subjects were blind.  In the 4th feature:  A non-MU strange/suspense story about the industrialist Fenton, who uses all the resources of Fenton Electronics to build a time machine to go into the future to learn the secret of eternal life.  In the future, he finds the planet devoid of human life and discovers that all the people left for a new, germ free planet years before hand, and he is stuck.   Cover by Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers.

Still in a bind, Dino dresses in the uniform of an ubergruppenfuehrer and makes the Germans retreat, and they use the same trick to free the hostage townspeople.  They head for Castle Louviers where Henri is being questioned by direct order of Hitler, and sneak into the stronghold.  All hell breaks loose, and the captured Howlers are freed by Fury, who they thought had died earlier.  Father and daughter are reunited, and the Howlers use the General to get out of occupied France, and at story end, they leave Henri to continue his work and take the general with them back to England. Title is a non-timeline story set during WWII.

:    First Spidey cross-over and team-up.  Torch training in Glenville with the help of his sister, jealous of all the press Spidey is getting.  The Fox steals a DaVinci painting and frames Spidey for it.  Police on manhunt for Spidey, who tries to enlist the Torch to help clear him of the bogus charges, but, misunderstanding, Torch tries to subdue him.  After an evenly matched fight, Spidey stops the Torch with webbing laced with silicone crystals.  Torch figures out that Spidey's telling the truth and meets him for the first time on the top of the Statue of Liberty.  They team-up to find the Fox, who had decided to skip town, and chase him through several of his hidden underground hideouts, eventually catching up to him in  disguise in Central Park.  Torch and Spidey not on the most amicable terms at story end.  All other features are reprinted from ST #67, STRANGE WORLDS #s 1-3, and WORLD OF FANTASY #16.  Cover by Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko.
