COM:    Champions are named for the first time.  Herc and Widow, while discussing his ire over the decision (from last ish), are jumped on the beach and when they finally get their assailant down, they find he is a nearly mindless elderly man.  They are attacked and kidnapped by the mercenaries of Dr. Lansing and brought to the San Marino State Hospital.  Herc could easily escape on his own, but they threaten to kill Natasha if he tries.  Lansing then explains what they are doing there, telling them about his super soldier research, and then prepares to brainwash the pair.  Later, at the beach house, the others are worried about their absence until the pair bursts through the wall and try to kill them, under the sway of Lansing and his control box.  Even with GR's added help, they don't stand much chance against Herc adn Lansing's Neural Disruptor, and things would have gone really bad if Widow, while fighting Ivan, shakes the conditioning and smashes the box.  Without it, his mutates go wild and kill him on the beach.  At story end, they all get serious about becoming a new team.
