According to Tuner, her experience in municipal government and school boards provide her with a good understanding of some very important issues facing rural Maine.
“We need to support our small businesses; one of the best ways to keep our economy moving forward is to support our existing industries while looking to create jobs at a living wage. We need to invest in our young people, making sure all schools are treated fairly.”
“Legislature’s should be good steward of the taxpayer’s money and continuously make every effort to get the most value. As your State Representative I will be committed to work for District 11.”
A passionate photographer and explorer of Maine, Turner strongly believes the outdoors is one of the state’s most valuable assets and believes that we must protect Maine for our future generations.
Tuner was born and raised in Lincoln; she went to high school at Mattanawcook Academy. She went onto earn her nurses aid certificate and worked at Penobscot Valley Hospital. Turner now lives in Burlington with her husband Stan, a Forman at Lincoln Paper and Tissue. Beth and Stan raised two children together and have one grandson.
Currently Turner is visiting with town officials, school boards and interested individuals to gain knowledge about local issues and concerns.
