Our Contract
1) Breeder
guarantees the health of this puppy at the time of sale. Buyer is to
take the puppy to a veterinarian within 5 business days for a
get-acquainted visit and checkup. If a health problem other than
described below is discovered during this visit, a full refund will
be provided upon return of the puppy, or by mutual written
agreement, the breeder will pay the costs of minor medical
procedures. Health-related conditions which are known to the breeder
at this time and have been discussed with the buyer.
2) This puppy is not guaranteed against any hereditary conditions
which may affect its suitability as a pet during its lifetime.
3) Breeder has provided this puppy with the best possible health
care, grooming, and socialization, so she/he is off to a good start as
a family pet. Buyer agrees to provide this puppy with proper
housebreaking, ongoing socialization, and basic manners; to confine
the puppy in a fenced yard or exercise it on a leash for its safety;
to spay or neuter it at the earliest appropriate age; and to provide
a good quality food, annual medical examinations, and routine health
care including vaccinations, worming, and heartworm preventative.
Obedience classes are highly recommended, not only as a way of
preventing behavior problems, but as a means of developing good
communication between dog and owner. The breeder is always available
as a resource for information on training and socialization -- don't
be afraid to call or email with your questions!!!
4) Under no circumstances is this dog to be surrendered to an animal
shelter or rescue organization. The breeder is always available as a
safety net for the lifetime of every puppy we sell, no matter what
the circumstances of how old the "puppy" may be.
5) This puppy is sold to be a companion and family pet. It may
compete in herding, agility, obedience, and other performance
events. We encourage you to look into some of these fun ways to
interact with your dog, be part of the wider canine community, and
make use of your poodle’s natural enthusiasm and intelligence.
Pet puppies are sold at a special pet price and are NOT to be used
for breeding to add more puppies to the surplus dog population.
Spaying or neutering your pet early will prevent many future health
and behavior problems and give him/her a longer and healthier life.
